I once heard a preacher say that two of the biggest problems in the United States are consumer debt and obesity. Problem solved with the Steelcase’s Walkstation! This genius invention marries desk and treadmill together so one can work to pay off their consumer debt while shedding pounds!

What do you think? Maybe the government has it all wrong and this is the solution to our problems.

Ok, so I know this isn’t very many views…but to me it is. Plus, it’a an easy blog post. Leave some nice comments.

I recently went to my optometrist because I was seeing a little blurry black dot in my vision coming from my left eye (later found out to be a “floater” and not really a big deal). It’s interesting how such a small out-of-focus speck distracts me from my work and is the focal point of my attention even amidst all the clarity of my vision. I thought about how this parallels with sin in my life. Even the “smallest” sin seems to distract me from my spiritual growth. Sin causes me to be distracted from what I should be focusing on, the clarity of God’s Word and HIS goodness around me.
This has challenged me to examine my life and to see what sin is “floating” around that causes a distraction from my growth in Christ. What is my little black blurry dot in my life?

See the powerful inspiration behind John Mark McMillan’s song in the video below:

Ted Haggard, former pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, and his wife Gayle are scheduled to be interviewed on stage at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC this Sunday. Ted became the attention of the media after his scandal involving homosexual acts and the use of meth was reveiled. So, why would Elevation Church bring Ted and Gayle in? See why the church decided to do this while watching Pastor Furtick’s interview on Fox Charlotte’s Rising. Also, Elevation Church created this website to explain why the church would have them interviewd in front of the congregation. If you are in the area, you probably should drop by one of the church’s 8 services. See times and locations here.

Check out this slam poet video (first one on the page) by Elevation Church. Awesome.

God has blessed me so much, but I find myself thinking I deserve it. I fall into the deceptive thought that it’s because of what I’ve done. It’s not what I’ve done, it’s what God has done and given me. I could have just as easily been born in a third-world country and struggle each and every day just to stay alive. But rather, I am here and have what I have only because of God’s mercy.
I continue to challenge myself to share the blessings of our great God. What have I done recently for those around me? What have I done for those who are less fortunate. This could be sponsoring a child in need or as simple as picking up a friend’s meal.
What have you done for somebody this week? What will you do next week?
If you are blessed, bless back.
